Just the smell of them now is enough to set the nausea wheels in motion (see creatures in the sea to find out why), but others insist how tasty they are.

Mitake shochu:

So popular that to buy a bottle (one person, one bottle) you have to queue everytime the brewery delivers to the supermarkets.

Made from fermented sweet potatoes but despite the images that this may conjure up, it's actually quite drinkable. Best served on the rocks.
