Hi Clive! we are interesting in renting a canoe and life jacket by ourselves near anbo river. In your book you said tourist centres can help with this. Where can we find the tourist centre?

Yes, the tourist information centre in Anbo which is a few doors down from Mossburger on the side road. Of course Yakushima being Yakushima there's no big sign but it should look obvious! It used to be so easy to rent kayaks by the hour and paddle off down the river as there was a shop right next to the river but that closed.
